The Witcher: Blood Origin – Sophia Brown entra nel cast

The cast of Blood Origin, the prequel series of The Witcher, Netlifx phenomenon starring Henry Cavill, continues to expand: Sophia Brown will be one of the protagonists

The cast of the series The Witcher: Blood Origin continues to expand. While in fact the expectation is growing for the second season of The Witcher, scheduled for the end of the year, Netflix announces a new member for the cast of the prequel, Sophia Brown.

The young actress has already taken part in numerous projects of the streaming platform and other entertainment giants, including Marcella, Clique and Guerilla.

Surely it will therefore prove to be an added value for a series created with the aim of expanding one of the most followed and loved universes of recent years. The Witcher, in fact, is based on the series of novels by the Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, despite her only season for now, she has gained a very large fan following, largely thanks to the interpretation of Henry Cavill (The DCEU Superman).

The Witcher: Blood Origin – Trama e anticipazioni

The prequel series will be set approx 1200 years earlier of the world of The Witcher, in an elven world ready to merge with that of monsters and men. We will then discover the origins of the events that led to the creation of the first Witcher prototype and the fundamental “conjunction of the spheres”.

In this scenario Sophia Brown will take on the role of Another, an elite warrior with the voice of a goddess, who left her clan and her role as the Queen’s guardian to follow her heart as a nomadic musician. A great showdown on the continent, however, will force her to take up the sword again in search of revenge and redemption.

The Witcher: Blood Origin was born from the mind of the showrunner – and executive producer of the series along with Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, Jason Brown, Sean Daniel Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko – Declan de Barra.

The series will consist of six episodes. We just have to wait for further details on the project, hoping that in the meantime the second season of The Witcher is released.
