Tokyo Game Show 2021: here is the calendar with all the events of the fair

The Tokyo Game Show has finally come alive and starting on September 30th. The Japanese video game fair promises to be full of interesting events and will take place in a completely virtual format until 3 October. This year, in addition to seeing the usual Japanese software houses that have always colored the fair, such as Square Enix, SEGA and SNK, there will also be Microsoft among the participants. Let’s take a look at the Tokyo Game Show 2021 calendar.

The Tokyo Game Show 2021 calendar

September 30th

The first day of the Tokyo Game Show, which has partly already ended, saw as its first event the opening ceremony, which took place on the night of Thursday 30 September (at 03:00). Soon after we attended the presentation of King of Fighters XV (06:00) while during the morning we had the conference of Microsoft (ore 11:00).

The other events of the first day are the showcase of Konami – Yu-Gi-Oh (ore 12:00), Spike Chunsoft (ore 13:00), D3Publisher (2.00 pm) e Capcom (3:00 pm), which will show unpublished details on the expansion of Monster Hunter Rise which will introduce the G rank and many new monsters.

1st October

On the second day of the TGS we will see a series of noteworthy events, including the 505 Games Upcoming Titles Showcase (ore 11:00) e o Square Enix Presents (12:00). In the afternoon it will be the turn of Bandai Namco (13:00), Level 5 (14:00) and SEGA/Atlus (ore 15:00).

We know for sure that Square Enix will show some updates on Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Forspoken and Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier, but we have no news on any of the other software houses.

The hope is to see even just a small trailer of Dragon Quest XII, of which for the moment we have only seen the logo, while SEGA has promised that it will present a new, unidentified RPG.

2nd October

The third day of TGS is the most meager of events. In fact, on this day we will only attend a presentation by Tencent Games (3:00 am) and al Koei Tecmo Special Program (13:00). Also in this case we have no idea what these two companies have in store for us, but it is realistic to imagine that, being Tencent, we will find ourselves in front of updates on the future of the software house’s most loved mobile video games.

October 3

Finally, the fourth and last day of the TGS will open with the conference of the children of Arc System Works (06:00), from which we expect an update on Guilty Gear Strive, the fighting game released a few months ago and which will receive updates over time.

Next we will have the UBIDAY2021 Online × TGS Special Program show by Ubisoft (11:00 am) e MiHoYo with which it will present various updates on Genshin Impact (ore 14:00).

To close this edition of the Tokyo Game Show will be the closing ceremony, which will take place at 5:00 pm on October 3rd. You can follow the event live at this link.
