Until February 19 it will be possible to participate in the IIDEA census for Italian game developers

By February 19th it will be possible for freelancers and businesses to participate in the sixth census promoted by IDEA by and Italian game developers.

The trade association for the video game industry of our country has launched the questionnaire, which has now reached its own census, which can be easily edited online.

The census is aimed at freelancers and all companies operating in the video game sector, with the aim of photographing an Italian reality that is unknown to most people. Indeed it is important to highlight the relationship between the evolution of Italian gaming sector of recent years and the development studiesto understand the level reached.

This is a very important point, as the video game sector is still largely unexplored in our country, especially if we think of the eSports sector, which has only recently had a minimal impact thanks to events such as the Lucca Comics, Round One and other tournaments held towards the end of 2022.

The goal of IIDEA

IIDEA (Italian Interactive & Digital Entertainment Association), therefore, has taken on the burden of exploring how knowledge of the videogame world has changed compared to a few years ago, pursuing objectives of awareness and knowledge of gaming.

We must not forget, in fact, that the world of video games is still widely demonised by today’s society, being considered a group of violence and diseducation. Therefore, one of the tasks of associations such as IIDEA is to bring people closer to the gaming sector, inviting companies and freelancers in the sector to raise their voices.

To do this, the Association not only uses the annual census, but also initiatives aimed at enhancing the role of video games in the economy, society, industry, education and training. Among the various events we could mention Games Industry Day, First Playable e Round One.

No less important, always from IIDEA the Italian Video Games Awarda prestigious national award designed to promote the excellence of the Italian videogame market.
