UNTURNED: The new Elver DLC is coming to consoles

505 Games announced that the acclaimed open-world zombie survival sandbox game UNTURNED will receive a fantastic new DLC “ELVER” in September 2021, on Xbox One and PS4.

The Elver DLC includes a new map inspired by a variety of different Eastern European countries, providing not only a new narrative setting, but also changing the way the game is played. Players will have to search for resources in the new map to build equipment such as horde lighthouses and gas masks, allowing them to obtain high-level equipment not only thanks to the looting of a military base.

The map layout has separate areas dedicated to building bases within a dense forest surrounding the only lootable place on the map – the city. Zombies remain a constant threat throughout the metropolis and are a guarantee of catastrophe for the unwary survivor. Players should also keep an eye out for all static noise TVs, as these mark the presence of hidden ranger crates containing unique weapons and items.

This new DLC, available in September of this year, demonstrates the continued support and commitment offered to console players, who will see an increased frequency of patches and more new DLCs arriving in the coming months.

Gamers looking to try UNTURNED will be happy to hear that the title is part of the Xbox Free Play Days which launched on August 5th. Players who want to survive the zombie apocalypse can download and play for free with their friends until August 8th.

UNTURNED is an open-world survival sandbox game in which players take on the role of a survivor who has fallen into the ruins of modern zombie-infested society and must work with friends and forge alliances to stay alive. Players must search for supplies such as clothing, food and weapons, as well as for resources such as wood and metal to create strongholds and defenses to fend off the zombie horde.

Survivors also need to keep an eye on their health by finding food and water and checking radiation levels. Being hit by a zombie or entering “dead zones” without adequate radiation protection will have an impact on their health. As players progress through the game, players can earn experience points which can be used to upgrade their character, improving their chances of survival!
