Vodafone Industrial Connect is born to facilitate the digital transition of companies

The collaboration extends and strengthens Vodafone Business’ strategic relationship with Cisco in recent years and, with the entry of Alleantia, opens up new development prospects thanks to the combination of their respective skills. The understanding is based on a joint analysis of the Italian IoT market and customer needs to accompany the Italian manufacturing sector, including SMEs, on the digital transformation process, on whose relaunch the country’s competitiveness depends.

Vodafone Industrial Connect by Vodafone Business responds to the need for manufacturing sector to have a turnkey Internet of Things service that is easy to integrate into the existing production environment, even if made up of not recently built systems.

The solution was developed by Vodafone Business by integrating in a unique and innovative way the hardware component of Cisco, a world leader in the networking and IT sector, and the software component of Alleantia, a young and dynamic Italian SME. The solution, scalable and easy to use, helps companies to make the most of the potential of technology without having to manage its complexity.

The new platform has a simple and intuitive graphic interface that allows you to easily know and analyze the status of the machines and production lines, with the ability to create and receive personalized alerts. Vodafone Industrial Connect collects production data, processes it and sends it to the IoT cloud platform via secure Vodafone mobile connectivity. The customer can access the reporting via web interface and thus transform his decision-making process making it “data-driven”.

The IoT solution of Vodafone Industrial Connect also allows to reduce the environmental impact of the company because it allows energy efficiency and a reduction in industrial waste by virtue of the optimization of the production process.
