Volvo Cars will open a Tech Hub in Krakow

Volvo Cars announces the imminent opening of a new Tech Hub and Craca, the second largest city in Poland. A software development center that will play a vital role in launching one all-electric range by 2030. In addition, it will also provide a strategic advantage through in-house software development.

The Tech Hub will develop comprehensive and essential functions for new all-electric cars of the Brand. Our Krakow-based engineers will join our global team to accelerate innovation capacity through software development for key areas of Volvo Cars. These areas include the core safety technology, driver perception and assistance algorithms, and autonomous driving software. Furthermore, next generation connected features through data analysis.

The new Tech Hub will be operational by the end of this year with the help of approximately 120 engineering experts. By the middle of the decade, Volvo plans to employ between 500 and 600 employees in Krakowwho will collaborate with leading engineering centers in China and Sweden, as well as other Tech Hubs around the world.

Recently, Volvo has shown its interest in innovating and electrifying the line with the SUV Volvo EX90 fully electric traction.
