Western Digital launches the first officially licensed PlayStation 5 M.2 SDD drive

Western Digital e Sony Interactive Entertainment launch WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe M.2 SSD, the first officially licensed SSD PlayStation 5. The high-speed archiving allows you to save your favorite titles and play them on the console without losing anything in terms of performance.

Wester Digital launches the first officially licensed PlayStation 5 SSD

The new SSD is optimized for different gaming scenarios, so that you don’t waste even a fraction of a second when you’re in full action. Western Digital and SIE have run tests for hundreds of hours on a few different titles to ensure a gameplay up to the highest standards.

With WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe M.2 SSD, you can store and play PS5 and PS4 games directly on the drive. The connected heatsink rQuick installation and the all-in-one design guarantees extreme comfort. With technology PCle Gen4 you can say goodbye to long loading times. In fact the unit has read speeds up to 7,000 MB / s to jump right into the gaming world.

WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe M.2 SSD costa 234,99 euro in the 1TB version and 346,99 euro in the 2TB one, already available from Best Buy and on the official store. To August 2022 it should also arrive in all other stores.
