What we know about Rollerdrome: the new retro-futuristic game coming out in August

A third person shooter on skates. All with a decidedly unique retro-futuristic graphics. So appears Rollerdrome, the new game developed by Roll7 for Private Division, coming soon on August 16, 2022 on PC (Steam)PlayStation 4 e PlayStation 5. The new official trailer allows us to appreciate the fluid movements of the gameplay, which combine well with the frenetic fighting on the skates. After all, what else could one expect from the creators of the spectacular OlliOlli World?

The game is set in a dystopian future, mysterious and dark, with a decidedly identifying graphic style, inspired by retro-futuristic comics. The action will be accompanied by the music of Electric Dragon, the darksynth artist who composed a soundtrack combining modern rhythms with the iconic sounds of the 70s. In short, the perfect soundtrack for a high-speed massacre.

Rollerdrome Trailer and Plot: Game out August 16, 2022

We are in 2030, the year in which governments use the Rollerdrome, a brutal sport, as a means to distract people from their misdeeds. If the plot reminds you of anything it is because the reference is probably to Rollerball, a 1976 film directed by Normal Jewison. In the game they will take on the shoes (or rather the skates) of Kara Hassan, who together with his team will have to complete the challenges in the packed arenas of the new sport. Waiting for the launch on August 16, we offer you the first images of the game.
