The WhatsApp development program continues which, over the last few months, has registered various innovations and shows no signs of stopping. The latest beta of WhatsApp for Android, for example, introduces the possibility of hide the online status of your account. This possibility is available, for now, only for a limited number of users subscribed to the beta channel of WhatsApp. Here are the details:
WhatsApp beta version 2.22.20.9 for Android introduces the ability to hide online status of your account. Users who have received this feature can now choose to activate this new option directly from their account settings.
With this new version, WhatsApp users can choose who can see the last login (Everyone, My contacts, My contacts except…, none) and also who can see the online status choosing between the options “All” and “Same as last access”.
This novelty, at the end of the test phase, will also arrive on the stable version of the application. Further changes could come in the course of construction. In addition, this news should soon arrive in the beta version for iOS. Over the next few weeks, the ability to hide WhatsApp’s online status should also be introduced in the stable version of the app.
Further updates on the issue will arrive shortly.
