WhatsApp is officially working on reactions in the form of emojis to messages on Android. We had already talked about the arrival of this feature, and it was known that WhatsApp was developing it for iOS, but now we have confirmation that it will also arrive on Android.
The functionality is really very simple and is similar to those found on other messaging platforms such as Instagram. In fact, it allows to react with emojis to a received message. The messaging app will allow you to react to a message via emoji by long pressing on it. Some emojis will be shown and once you select your favorite one, the person you replied to will get a notification for the same reaction.
In early September WABetaInfo had spotted the development of message reactions on iOS. But now WhatsApp has sent a new Android update via the program Google Play Beta, with the version 2.21.20.8, where it was possible to discover that the feature will also arrive on Android. Obviously, the update is currently a beta and we have to wait for the official release.
Below you can see an example of how the novelty of WhatsApp works, as reported by WABetaInfo. As this feature is under development (therefore not available at the moment), its appearance, such as the background color of the bubble reaction, may change before the official release.

WABetaInfo also reports that WhatsApp has started working on the feature “multi-device 2.0” and users will soon be able to use a second smartphone or tablet with the same WhatsApp account. This will also work on iPads. It is said that WhatsApp will allow you to connect up to four devices and a smartphone.
A WhatsApp spokesperson told TechRadar that the upcoming feature will allow users to use WhatsApp on multiple devices without the need to have their main phone connected all the time.
