Meta continues to integrate various cross-platform features, to allow users to easily interact from one social network to another. We know, for example, that it is possible share the same story on Instagram and automatically on Facebookand Meta would now be aiming to offer same with whatsapp status.
Recall that status is a feature practically identical to that of stories, with the difference that it is exclusive to the messaging platform and is covered by end-to-end encryption. With the new sharing feature (announced today by WABetaInfo) users will be able to share WhatsApp status automatically to Facebook as wellin the form of a story.
The feature was already spotted in development on WhatsApp for iOS and version 2.23.9.13 beta of the app confirms its existence on Android as well.
AndroidPolice explains that the new option should be available starting with the new update, but users will be able to choose to disable it from the state’s Privacy Settings.
In fact, it was already possible to share state from one platform to another, but you had to do it manually. Now, however, with the new feature, it is possible to set up automatic sharing with each status update.
