According to what has emerged in the past few hours, Airbnb, the portal dedicated to renting for tourism purposes, could begin to accept cryptovaluta as a payment method on its platform. Speaking on the subject was the CEO of the company Brian Chesky, who on Twitter explained that he had carefully evaluated the option and that it could be introduced as early as 2022.

The idea was born from an idea of ​​Chesky, who on his account Twitter has collected suggestions from users for any new features to be introduced in 2022. To give their opinion feedback there were more than 4,000 and in the first place among the most insistent suggestions there is precisely that of introducing payment through Crypto. Immediately after we find various ideas to improve the use of the platform.

The CEO later specified that with regard to payments of this type, different cryptocurrencies have been proposed, which therefore would not reduce the option to only Bitcoin, which is the most used crypto at the moment, but also other types of digital currency, obviously selected from those that enjoy the most support.

It should be noted that Chesky has not officially confirmed that Airbnb is working to introduce cryptocurrency as a payment method, but only that the company is already working on some of the suggestions made by users. Of course, it would not be the first time that such an activity introduces the option, but surely we would be talking about one of the largest ones currently, if it goes through.
