Windows 10 21H1: Eliminate many of the initially expected features

Some of the interesting features of the new version of Windows 10 21H1 have been postponed until a later date, let’s find out together

We were already aware that Microsoft recently changed its roadmap regarding the release of updates. In fact, lately, the well-known company from Redmond has released much more streamlined updates similar to Service Pack in spring, concentrating the succulent part for autumn. Which feature will they postpone until a later date?

Compared to what was initially believed, Windows 10 21H1 it will not have the functionality DNS over HTTPS (DoH) which allows you to encrypt requests for resolving domain names made by any application installed within the operating system. LeBlanc, senior program manager of Windows Insider confirmed that the update has now entered its final phase. Soon, therefore, it will be made available to subscribers of the preview program of Windows 10.

The release date of the update, however, everything suggests a distribution that will start by mid-May, probably in conjunction with the next “patch day”. As usual, initially the update will be released in a manner optional to color that will click on the button “Search for updates”.

Below is a quick rundown of the new features that will be added with the new version:

• Introduction of multi camera support in Windows Hello with the ability to set up the external camera as default (when the system can use more than one);
• Enrichment of the features of Windows Defender Application Guard that allows theusing apps in an isolated environment from the system;
• Update and optimizations on Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Group Policy Service (GPSVC) which improves the remote management of devices;
• Windows 10 News and Interests: this is the new feed from Microsoft that is heavily inspired by Google Discover. It will allow users to receive updates on users’ preferred times directly from the taskbar.
