Windtre continues cooperation with consumer associations

The commitment of WINDTRE in collaboration with the Associations of consumers to promote initiatives aimed at encouraging an informed use of digital technologies: the company has in fact launched the programs Welcome to WINDTRE e Sustainability Road following the signing of the cooperation protocol with Adiconsum, Adoc, Altroconsumo, Cittadinanzattiva, Federconsumatori and U.Di.Con. Welcome to WINDTRE e Sustainability Road

The Welcome to WINDTRE initiative was born with the aim of enhance the relationship between WINDTRE and the trade associations through a series of meetings which involved company management and consumer representatives. The two realities confronted each other on the health of the telecommunications sector and on infrastructure development and of network technologies.

With the Sustainability road program, on the other hand, the sustainability plan of WINDTRE with a focus on the issue of digital citizenship. The program highlighted the “NeoConnessi” initiatives, which aim to contribute to the improvement of digital skills of children and of Senior citizens. Sustainability Road also highlighted “Borghi Connessi”, which aims to accompany the growth of small Italian towns thanks to connectivity and smart technologies.

At the heart of the program there are also two paths:

• Diversity&Inclusionwhich enhances gender equality and guarantees an ever wider digital accessibility to people with disabilities;
• Carbon Neutralityfor the containment of CO2 emissions.

The protocol will continue with a dialogue on the issues of Transparency and Dissemination, to find new and more effective ones forms of disclosure related to key issues for the telco sector, thanks to active and constructive dialogue with consumer associations.
