WWE 2K22: the announcement has arrived with trailer and exit window

One of the most important pay-per-view of the year, Summerslam, took place recently at WWE: during the event, 2K presented, through an interesting announcement trailer, the new WWE 2K22, also revealing the window launch

It’s been a while since the last title WWE 2K, and therefore fans of the series have already been waiting for several months for new information regarding the next title. Well, after the official confirmation took place a few months ago, here it was presented on the stage of Summerslam the new official announcement trailer of WWE 2K22, complete with a launch window. Will this title make up for the problematic launch of WWE 2K20, which happened now two years ago? It’s hard to say right now, so we’ll just analyze the trailer and reveal the rest of the information below.

WWE 2K22, announcement trailer and launch window

In trailer, with a relatively short duration, we can see various game scenes in which various superstars of the WWE roster are present. In particular, we can see wrestlers of the caliber of Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, The Miz, Kofi Kingston, Bayley, Ricochet and Finn Bàlor. In short, none of the unexpected, considering that it is wrestler currently featured on television shows. As for the modes and features not visible in the WWE 2K22 announcement trailer, we’ll have to wait until next year, as 2K itself has said it plans to release that information in the January 2022.

Moving on to talk about the launch window, at the end of we can see the date appear March 2021. This will be able disappoint some fans used to seeing the wrestling series on the shelves as early as October / November, but we are sure that this decision was made in order to be able to bring a better game to stores than it would have been if it came out sooner. Considering the disaster that happened with the previous installment of the series, maybe it’s good to have patience.

For those not in the know, the last installment of the series was WWE 2K20, and it was the subject of a problematic launch to say the least. Due to the abandonment of the project midway by Yukes (who has been the main developer of WWE 2K and beyond for many years), the developer Visual Concepts he had to take responsibility for the whole project, failing to complete it correctly, also due to the stringent deadlines. This led to the release of a title full of bugs and problems of a technical nature, which the community immediately pointed out on the web.
