Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, here is the release date on Switch and PC

Nihon Falcom has finally announced the release date of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, which arrived on PS4 last February, also on Nintendo Switch and PC

We have already spoken extensively, last February, about Ys IX: Monstrum Nox in a detailed review, which you can find by clicking here. The latest iteration of the more than interesting Nihon Falcom series, which in the West always struggles to take off like any other niche JRPG, has been able to amaze us from many points of view, perhaps even more than The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV, always from the same company. What Falcom’s titles lack is, as always, a technical improvement that is unlikely to ever come, considering the games’ low popularity and low budget. What is certain is that Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is, in our opinion, one of the best low budget Action-JRPGs on the market., with interesting and well-defined mechanics and a great degree of fun.

Released on PlayStation 4 last February, Ys IX is also preparing to arrive on Nintendo Switch and PC during the summer. In the past few hours, in fact, Nihon Falcom has announced that the official release date of Monstrum Nox on other platforms is currently set for next July 6. On the occasion, the company has also released a new trailer of what looks like gameplay footage of the Nintendo Switch version. We leave it below!

In Ys IX: Monstrum Nox we will reprise the role of Adol Christin who, together with his friend Dogi, will find himself in trouble again and this time will end up in no less than prison, in the city of Balduq. During his time behind bars, a strange woman named Aprilis will give him the power of the Monstrums. Along with others lucky like him, Adol must find out more about the curse and, in the meantime, save the city of Balduq.
