One of the great novelties of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom are the caves. The surface of Hyrule is teeming with these locations, easily recognizable by the icon of a cave on the map. It won’t take long for you to find one shortly after starting the adventure.
Inside of Hyrule you will find many surprises that were not in Zelda Breath of the Wild. One of them is the Phantasm, a new type of enemy that also grants a new item, the Phantasm Emblems.
What are these emblems for? Here we tell you how these emblems are obtained and what they are for.
What are the Ghost Emblems and what are they for in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
When you enter a cave, it is most likely that you will come across a new type of creature inside that goes by the name of Ghost: they are easily recognizable by their white color and because they are usually hanging from the ceiling.
When hit with an arrow (or any other attack), the Ghosts disappear, leaving behind a Rupinia (if you are skilled, you can try to hit them to get some rupees) and a Ghost Emblem.
How many Ghosts are there in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
In absolutely all the caves of Hyrule there is a Ghost (search well, because sometimes they are very hidden), which means that the number of Ghost Emblems equals the number of caves.
Fortunately, the game keeps track of it for us: when we have collected the emblem, the icon of that cave will show a confirmation “tick” on the map.
And what are the Fantasmo emblems for?
When you have progressed through Tears of the Kingdom you will come across Kiltona returning character from Breath of the Wild, and his brother, Colt. The latter runs a sort of night shop that is easily recognizable, as it resembles the one his brother had in Botw (it’s a kind of hot air balloon made with monster parts).
You will find it in different parts of Hyrule, but if you want a safe location, it usually appears every night near the village Arcadia.
In exchange for the emblems, Koltin gives us a series of very juicy rewards, such as a new outfit for Link with quite interesting properties.
This is the use of the Ghost emblems. When you’ve visited enough caves and defeated a lot of Ghosts, remember to visit Kotlin to redeem your rewards.
