Airbnb is about to become more transparent: comes the search for total pricewhich allows you not to be surprised by hidden fees that only pop up before checkout. Only any tourist taxes and similar will be excluded from the calculation.
Those who want to find an apartment on Airbnb will soon be able to do so in a more transparent way right away. Indeed in research you will find the full price, without commissions. As a supplement for mandatory cleaning or similar.
Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky has indeed shown in a video on Twitter how it is possible to tick “show the total price” on the platform to see the price with all the commissions added. And you will see it both on Research than on mapas well as on pages of housing.
This decision comes after Airbnb itself promised greater transparency last year, initiating a “extended review“ of extra expenses lo last December.
According to the Wall Street Journal, this year the platform would have studied compromises that could satisfy both those who rent their home and arriving guests. Then test these new features on a limited number of users: such as the ability to filter by full price instead of by cost per night.
