Nintendo Switch 2: new rumors about Joy-Con, stand and more

The Big N reinvents hybrid conventions: here are Joy-Con, stand, game cards and more in the new rumor on Nintendo Switch 2

Even in the rosiest of hypotheses we can assume that for the release of Nintendo Switch 2 it takes at least a year, but already many rumor on the console we are now going to add a leak sui Joy-Con. We are talking about “leaks” specifically because the source, this time, is the peripheral manufacturing company Mobopad, to which we owe several third-party controllers for the current hybrid of the Kyoto Colossus. On Japanese social media Bilibili (not to be confused with Billbil-kun, ed.), the company has shared presumably confidential information, which we will not have confirmation of before the highly anticipated official announcement of the new hardware. And, as far as we have understood, the evolution does not stop at the console itself.

A new rumor about Nintendo Switch 2: the new Joy-Cons are definitely… metal

According to Mobopad, and in line with recent rumors, Nintendo Switch 2 will have new electromagnetic Joy-Conscon Metallic SL and SR buttons on the sides. Furthermore, the backwards compatibility with current controllers it will be guaranteed via Bluetooth, while the HD vibration (haptic feedback, ed.) will also be present in the new ones. They will be there then additional buttons on each controller, although their function is still unknown. Similar to other portable consoles from the Grande N, also in this case the new ones game cards they will have a different shape, while maintaining compatibility with the “old-gen” ones. The stand will remain the larger one of the OLED model, while the 8-inch screen will return to LCD technology. The output would be (obligatory conditional) a 1080p in portable mode and 4K via dock.
