Apple: iOS 15.2 is forever, there’s no going back to iOS 15.1.1

Following the official publication of iOS 15.2 Earlier this month for all users, Apple began to stop signing iOS 15.1.1 for iPhone 13 models and iOS 15.1 for older models. This means that users who have updated their devices to the latest version of iOS, i.e. iOS 15.2, will not be able to downgrade to iOS 15.1.1 o iOS 15.1.

Apple: there is no going back to iOS 15.1.1

This stop on downgrades had already begun when Apple stopped signing iOS 15.1 for iPhone 13 models in November: the company then released the iOS 15.1.1 update to address a bug affecting the current generation of iPhone. Now, since iOS 15.2 is available for everyone, iOS 15.1 and iOS 15.1.1 are no longer usable for any of the supported iPhone and iPad models.

In case you missed it, the previous version of iOS debuted in October with several features, which include COVID-19 vaccination certificates in the Wallet app, SharePlay for Facetime, ProRes support on the iPhone 13 Pro series, and much more. . With this update also came the ability to disable Macro mode.

The downside is that if you are having any kind of problem with this new version of the operating system, you will have to wait for the next update to see it solved, since the Cupertino teammate has decided to block the return to previous versions.

With iOS 15.2 Apple has added several novelties for its users in each case. The latest version of iOS, in fact, brings with it multiple features, some of which include enhanced communication security on iMessage, legacy contacts, support for the Apple Music voice plan, and more.
