Apple will launch an app dedicated to classical music

Apple officially acquired the app Primephonic, the streaming service for lovers of classic music. La Mela plans to launch an application dedicated to the genre next year, as well as integrating the service into Apple Music and its subscription services.

Apple set to launch a classical music app in 2022

Primephonic has an excellent following of classical music fans who listen to the most famous sonatas and unrepeatable concerts by connecting headphones to the iPhone. These users will have to go through a few changes before Apple introduces its new alternative. In fact, immediately the service will not accept new subscribers e from 7 September it will be taken offline while Apple implements integration with Apple Music. However, Apple assured in a press release that it is already working to “combine the classic Primephonic GUI that fans have come to love with a few more features.”

New features will include music metadata in plain sight, as well as improved browsing e Research of your favorite piece. You can also discover new music based on the composer or the repertoire of the player. With spatial and lossless audio recently introduced by Apple you can then enjoy your favorite works just as if you were in a concert hall.
