CES 2023, Acer expands its ChromeOS offering with Chromebox CXI5 and Add-in-One 24

LAS VEGAS – Al CES 2023 Acer launched a lot of innovations in its online conference, including products with the operating system ChromeOSsuch as Chromebox CXI5 (also in the Enterprise version) and Add-In-One 24, which becomes a complete desktop by combining the Chromebox with a 24-inch FHD display.

Jeff Lee, General Manager, Stationary Computing, IT Products Business, Acer Inc. explains that these new laptops are ideal for companies and for those who work from home. “These new ChromeOS-based Acer systems are an excellent choice for businesses and institutions that need reliable computers that are easy to set up, use and manage, while making the most of space-constrained environments.”

In fact, thanks to ChromeOS the new Acer Chromebox CXI5 offers fast boot times and great ease of use, even in limited spaces such as call centers and coworking spaces. But without sacrificing power: the new Chromebox boasts 12th generation Intel Core i7 processors. And with the Intel vPro platform, it simplifies management for IT professionals.

Acer also launches Chromebox Enterprise CXI5 which thanks to Chrome Enterprise Upgrade allows you to fully support hybrid work. In addition, take advantage of 24/7 IT administrative support to apply procedures via the Google admin console, with great simplicity.

Finally, high I/O endowment: well four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and two USB 4 Gen 3 Type-C ports, plus dual HDMI 2.1 ports to support up to four displays. The WiFi 6E and the RJ45 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet connection allow excellent internet connections.

The new Add-In-One 24, with modular design

By inserting a Chromebox into the dock on the back of a 24-inch 1080p displayyou can compose the modular design of Add-In-One 24. This design facilitates repairs and upgrades of Acer Chromeboxes, reducing downtime.

The IPS panel has narrow bezels and high quality, offering very good images. You can also tilt it from -5 to 25 degrees for the best ergonomics. You also get a 5MP 115-degree webcam, along with dual microphones and 4-watt speakers for video calling.

Prices and availability

Both the Chromebox and the Add-In-One 24 combination will arrive in Italy in March, the Chromeboxes starting from 349 euroswhile Add-In-One from 799 euro.
