Getty Images and Riot Games: together for export events globally

Getty Images is a leading creator of visual content worldwide, and Riot Games, developer and distributor of League of Legends and VALORANT, have announced the renewal of a multi-year agreement that expands Getty Images’ role in the distribution of photography for further events. global esports, including VALORANT Esports and Wild Rift Esports competitions.

The extension of the agreement will include: coverage of major esports events, including League of Legends World Championship, VALORANT Championsis the first ever Wild Rift Global Icons.

Getty Images will also produce and distributeexclusive photographic content of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Game Changers Program. This recently established initiative runs alongside the main Champions Tour and aims to promote an inclusive environment for women and people with historically marginalized gender identities. The first global LAN event to elect the first Game Changers World Champion will take place later in the year.

The companies began their partnership in 2020, at which time Riot Games named Getty Images as Official Photo Image Distribution Partner for League of Legends Global Esports events, including World Championship, Mid-Season Invitational and All-Star Event. Since then, the collaboration has brought the most beautiful images of major tournaments and behind-the-scenes moments to millions of fans around the world.
