The event has just concluded ASUS ROG dedicated entirely to the charming ROG Ally, the new portable “console” from ASUS. More than a console, we are in fact dealing with a handheld gaming laptop designed mainly for video games but which will allow you to exploit the full potential of Windows. ROG Ally will be available starting June 13th and will have a price of €799.
But let’s start in order
ROG Ally will leverage a Zen 4 GPU architecture with RDNA 3 graphics and a Ryzen Z1 Extreme chipset to deliver excellent gaming performance. A “minor” version with a AMD Ryzen Z1 how chipset will be available later in 2023 and will cost €699.
Mount one 7″ IPS touch display on 10 points for a Full HD resolution (1920×1080) it’s a refresh rate fino a 120Hz. Inside we find 16GB of memory ( LPDDR5-6400) it’s a’512GB SSD drive (expandable via microSD). The system Zero Gravity Of heat dissipation from ROG uses a dual fan with ultra-thin fins to prevent the device from heating up even with the most demanding titles.
As for the operating system, we find Windows 11 and a special version of Armory Crate called SE. Compared to the PC version, Armory Crate SE will collect installed games from any hub, from Xbox Game Pass to Steam, to allow you to have all your video games in one place. Armory Create will also allow you to choose the mode – Gamepad, Keyboard / mouse and Desktop – and to set the sticks, haptic feedback and much more.
With regard to the accessories, it is also worth mentioning the ROG Gaming Charger Dock to allow you to connect the device to the TV to play multiplayer as well.
