LG announces the arrival of the GeForce NOW app on webOS Smart TVs

LG becomes the first TV manufacturer to develop GeForce NOW’s Smart TV application. For users with an LG TV with webOS, therefore, there will be the possibility to access NVIDIA’s popular cloud game streaming service thanks to the new close partnership between the two companies.

The GeForce NOW app arrives on LG TVs with webOS

Starting this week, the GeForce NOW app will be available on LG TVs in beta (but without any limitation with respect to the versions of the service available on other platforms). The application can be used on models in the 2021 range company (4K OLED, QNED Mini LED and NanoCell) in 80 markets. The complete list of compatible TVs will then be released.

For users of a compatible TV it will be easy to access GeForce NOW. In fact, it will be enough to download the app from LG Content Store. Immediately it will be possible to access over 35 days free to play in addition to all the other titles available on the service. You won’t need any additional hardware. Just connect a compatible decoder to the TV.

The company comment

Lee Sang-woo, LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company senior vice president of corporate business strategy comments on the new partnership: “Our users expect the best when they play on a large television. The collaboration with NVIDIA to bring GeForce NOW to LG TVs shows our commitment to ensure the best possible gaming experience on LG TVs that have the webOS operating system. “
