MySound Sphere Pods review: elegant and comfortable

In this review we are going to discover the true wireless earphones Sphere Pods by MySound. Let’s find out together how they behaved

The market for auricolari true wirelessalso better known by the acronym TWSis always expanding. Every day we find ourselves having to deal with new devices which, although they do not differ much in terms of design, can still disrupt our daily experience.

When we go to buy a new pair of earphones we must first understand what use we will make of it of the latter and then look at the various parameters: sound quality, fit of the same and, for the most fussy, even the design. These are factors that cannot be ignored. In this review we’ll see how they performed new Sphere Pods earphones from MySoundi.e. the audio section of Meliconi.

Packaging and Design – MySound Sphere Pods Review

The earphones arrive in packaging that nods to the ambient view the almost total absence of plastics. On the front we find the product on display, while on the other sides we can see some of the characteristics of these small earphones. Once the box is opened, we will immediately find the headphones in front of us, outside the protective and charging case. We honestly have no idea why this option was chosen.

However this could be a wake-up call, especially with regards to product safety. In fact, the packaging is not the most resistant and keeping the earphones out of the case may compromise them. During transport, these could unintentionally end up under something heavy and easily disintegrate or in any case suffer rather serious damage. Also in this way they go to increase the size of the package itselfwith an excessive waste of paper considering the large production.

At first glance the Sphere Pods they are very reminiscent of the design of the most famous AirPods, but the difference is huge and quite obvious. The most obvious detail is the zona touch o multifunction key as they prefer to call it in MySound. This features a small silver circle drawn around the designated area.

The custody, on the other hand, is one among the smallest ever seen in circulation. The shape and size are very similar to those of the Tamagotchi. Featuring a curved design on all sides, it has only two flat areas at the back and front. This allows for place it comfortably on any surface without rolling all the time. On the front we find the company logo on the magnetized opening and a piccolo LED indicating the charge of the case. In the lower part we find the USB type-C socket for recharging.

Slightly Questionable Choices – MySound Sphere Pods Review

Packaging is not the only choice made by the company that can create some perplexity in the user. While having an external LED that indicates the charge of the case is very useful, too much light can create some problems when you want to sleep. How many of you have ever seen a series or listened to music before falling asleep? Obviously when you live with others in the same room or even in the same house, you try not to disturb them, perhaps by putting on earphones.

When it comes time to fall asleep, yes they place the latter in the case and fall asleep, or at least try to fall asleep. In fact, the last process just mentioned can be hindered by the LED light that turns on and off to indicate that the earphones are charging inside the case. Although it is a small speck, this one manages to give off a really bright light which can be annoying in total darkness.

Well, then just turn the case with the LED facing down and you’re done. Well no. This solution will certainly go to obscure the light generated by the front LED, but the latter anyway it will light up our darkness from the back joint which allows us to open and close it.

Sound quality and performance – MySound Sphere Pods review

Now let’s move on to the most important section of the whole review, which concerns precisely the functioning of these earphones and the audio quality. Let’s start with the latter first. While not expecting much from a product in this price range, our experience was pretty goodwith normal audio quality. We are therefore not talking about something striking, but neither is it of poor quality. The only note to consider in this field is a sound that is slightly muffled to emphasize the bass and some small distortions noted in some tracks and only at the beginning of our test.

As for the microphone, however, we encountered some problems. Chief among them is the return of a slightly metallic voice, but this is actually a minor problem compared to the others. Those to be taken into consideration concern one slightly high voice detection threshold which therefore risks deleting some words and one capture of background noise really excessive. In this way the interlocutor will risk not understanding us better if we speak softly and on the other hand will pick up every noise of the surrounding environment.

As for the operation of the touch zone We have nothing to report negatively. The inputs are taken perfectly from the earphones and will allow us to answer or reject a call, change song or play/pause as needed and activate the voice assistant of our smartphone. Although not vitally important, we would have preferred to have volume control as well via the touch area, so that it can be adjusted without necessarily having to pick up the mobile phone.

Conclusions

We have now reached the end of this review regarding the MySound Sphere Pods and the time has therefore come to sum up a bit. These earphones come with a really elegant design which make them excellent in every situation. Furthermore, thanks to their shapes, they fit perfectly in the ear allowing you to enjoy an excellent fit even when we are on the move or while doing physical activity.

The small size of the case allows us to take it everywhere with us so that we can enjoy their company at all times. THE 10 mm drivers give us normal audio for this price range, without overdoing it or having too many deficits. The microphone, on the other hand, does not prove to be up to parwith a slightly high detection threshold and no background noise cancellation.

We have not found any anomalies between the times declared by the company on duration and recharge and those recorded during our test. Although the batteries are not exceptional in terms of duration, especially given some direct competitors in that price range, they are perfect for a few training sessions or for spending a couple of hours listening to music or watching a TV series. Absolutely not recommended for prolonged use, such as business video calls, remote lessons and so on. The hour and a half for recharging the earphones seems excessive to us compared to the three duration.

That’s all for this review of MySound’s Sphere Pods earphones. We remind you that you can buy these earphones on Amazon at the recommended price of € 29.99. To not miss future reviews and news regarding the universe of mobile devices, keep following techgameworld.com!
