NETGEAR announces the new AX6000 Access Point

NETGEAR, a leading provider of WiFi products for small and midsize businesses, announces the availability of Access Point AX6000 Tri-band PoE Multi-Gig WiFi 6 (WAX630), designed to provide maximum WiFi performance for small and medium-sized businesses.

Characteristics of the AX6000 Access Point

NETGEAR’s new AX6000 Tri-band Access Point also enables SMBs to benefit from the benefits of WiFi 6 (802.11ax): The latest technology that allows each connected device to run 40% faster than WiFi 5 (802.11ac). WAX630 is compatible with all previous and later versions of NETGEAR Access Point Insight Managed and with all WiFi 6 and WiFi 5 devices. WAX630 connects to other access points using Instant Mesh, a wireless backhaul technology, and is equipped with due porte Ethernet: a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port with PoE ++ for easy, high-speed cabling and an additional Gbps Ethernet port for wired extension to a Wi-Fi access point or switch network.

WAX630 is the ideal solution for environments with open spaces where there is a need to provide WiFi connectivity to a large number of users at the same time: schools, universities, medium-sized manufacturing plants, warehouses and offices.

Data transmission for high density distributions

WAX630 supports up to 12-stream (4 × 4 on each band) with each unit capable of delivering a speed of data transmission up to 6.0 Gbps. Specifically designed for high-density deployments, the WAX630 is a tri-band access point unique on the market which allows a configuration with both a dedicated band for wireless backhaul and two front-haul bands for client devices, and a version with 2.5 GbE wired backhaul and three front-haul bands for client devices. These features make these new access points among the most versatile and high-performance in the industry.

WAX630 is also manageable through the NETGEAR Insight cloud through the Insight App or browser. With Insight, resellers and installers can configure, monitor and manage a customer’s network, even on multiple sites, of the remote without requiring the intervention of an on-site technician.

WAX630 uses the WPA3 security standard, the maximum security level of the WiFi connection and allows you to set Different VLANs to keep the administration, employee, visitor, human resources and finance department networks separate and set up to sixteen different SSIDs.
