Nintendo Switch Online: here’s what the cost of the additional package will be

In the last few hours, the Big “N” has announced what the cost of the additional Nintendo Switch Online package will be. Let’s see it together

Nintendo confirmed that the cost for its new subscription level Switch Online “Expansion Pack” will be double that of the standard subscription. The Expansion Pack level, required to play the Nintendo 64 and Sega games, will cost 39,99 euros for a subscription individual from 12 months, while a subscription familiar the cost will go up to 69,99 euro for 12 months. This represents a doubling of the price compared to the “standard level”, which individually stands at € 19.99 or € 34.99 for a family pass. Finally we are aware of the cost of the add-on package of Nintendo Switch Online, the figure is in line with what has been hypothesized by various specialized sites. In addition to a new selection of games for Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, the Expansion Pack level will also include the DLC paid just announced for Animal Crossing: New Horizons at no additional cost.

Switch Online’s N64 launch games include some timeless glories of the Kyoto house: Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Star Fox 64, Yoshi’s Story, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Tennis, Dr Mario 64, Sin & Punishment e WinBack. A rather rich package for retrogaming lovers, then.

That’s not all: after the launch, other N64 games will follow to increase the dose: Banjo-Kazooie, Paper Mario, Pokémon Snap, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Mario Golf and F-Zero X.

The big “N” recently confirmed that European Nintendo 64 games that will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online service will include versions updated to 60 FPS of each title. Nintendo’s N64 wireless controllers and Sega Genesis / Mega Drive for Nintendo Switch are already available for purchase. As for the hardware front, new rumors have begun to circulate on the net for several days regarding an alleged Nintendo Switch 2 which should correspond, in part, to the standards of the much talked about Nintendo Switch PRO, more details here.
