We are alluding specifically to a patent with which Sony aims to improve the performance of ray tracing. Virtual lighting in games has always been one of the cornerstones of the sometimes vague marketing that distinguishes the next-gen, and this would fall within the canons to which the “Big S” has accustomed us up to day one three years ago.
