Resident Evil Village: a new corrective patch for PC is coming

Capcom is about to release a corrective patch for the PC version of Resident Evil Village, aimed at correcting the graphics and CPU problems

During the first part of the year we saw the launch of Resident Evil Village, the eighth official chapter of what is undoubtedly one of the longest-running Capcom brands. It is also one of the most profitable for the Japanese company, and it is thanks to this umpteenth installation, as well as the release of the new Monster Hunter, that the publisher’s profits have recorded significant growth, also by virtue of the excellent reception of public and critics received. In spite of this success, however, the PC version of the game showed up at the starting line with a few small hitches, which they forced Capcom to release some patches, to which another will be added shortly.

Resident Evil Village: a new corrective patch for the PC version is coming

To confirm the imminent arrival of the update, theofficial Twitter account of the saga, through which we learned that everything will be distributed today, Tuesday 24 August. The post does not contain many technical details, certainly referred to the changelog that will be announced at the time of the hotfix release, but it seems that everything aims at fix some problems encountered by certain CPUs, in addition to making tweaks to the graphics sector of production.

The new patch follows another update, through which Capcom had modified the Denuvo DRM, in order to improve game performance. All this is part of an operation aimed at perfecting the experience of the PC release of the production which, as mentioned at the beginning of the news, has proved to be decidedly fluctuating since the game’s debut.

Resident Evil Village is available on PC via Steam, as well as available for purchase in the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and Stadia versions.
