By now the Metal Gear Solid franchise is at the center of a, as we can define it, rumor fair. A couple of years have now passed since, for the first time, rumors about a probable remake of the third chapter by Virtuos emerged. And, although nothing has ever been confirmed, fans and all the press are now certain that this remake is there and that everything will see an end (and therefore an official announcement) very soon. The rumors have intensified again after the announcement of Sony’s PlayStation Showcase to be held on May 24thbut apparently, according to insider Tom Henderson, things may not go quite as planned.

It was recently rumored that Metal Gear Solid 3 would be released exclusively for PlayStation, Konami having signed agreements with Sony for the publication of the Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania franchises. And considering that Silent Hill 2 Remake will be released exclusively on PS5, it was easy enough to assume that Konami’s other series could also follow the same path. In the past few hours, however, Tom Henderson, citing anonymous sources, said that yes, we will see Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake with a teaser at the next PlayStation Showcase, but no… it won’t be exclusive.

There will therefore not be a real reveal with gameplay trailer, but more of a teaser than will officially announce the simultaneous launch of the remake on PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC.
