New 8-Bay Quad-Core NAS Provides 10GbE Data Transfer Without Hitting Infrastructure Budget

TerraMaster, a company specializing in innovative storage products, is pleased to announce the availability of the NAS F8-422 in Italy. TerraMater’s F8-422 is a 10GbE quad-core NAS that can accommodate up to 8 units, which greatly improves the efficiency of the office updating the network environment at 10 Gb Ethernet transmission speed, without requiring an increase in the company budget. It is the most affordable 8-bay NAS and is ideal for applications that interact with high-speed big data, plus 4K video editing, photography and 3D animation.

Based on the 1.5 GHz Intel Celeron processor with quad-core architecture, the NAS F8-422 is equipped with an ultra-fast 10Gb Ethernet port that works with existing Cat6 / 6A network cables and two 1,000 Mbps Ethernet ports that support network aggregation functionality. NI AES hardware encryption and 4K transcoding are natively supported. The raw storage capacity reaches 144 TB. Raid support includes modalità RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID 10, JBOD e SINGLE, to offer users many configuration options for increased speed and data security. With eight 6TB Seagate IronWolf hard drives in RAID 5 mode, the device can achieve read and write speeds up to 610 MB / s.

Management and backup have never been easier

Storage, security and user account management are easy and intuitive thanks to the TOS 4.2 system. The latest version of TOS 4.2 features a new revamped GUI, web server support, Wake-on-LAN (WOL), IPv4 and IPv6 support and increased SSL security. You can easily back up data from Mac, PC, external USB devices and servers to TNAS for centralized management. The backup application supports data deduplication and incremental backup, significantly reducing storage needs. The NAS F8-422 also supports the Time Machine backup, USB external backup and Rsync remote backup. Cross-platform access is supported Windows, Mac, Linux, Android e iOS, as well as SMB / CIFS, NFS, AFP, FTP / SFTP, WebDAV file services; there is no lack of support for remote mounting SMB, NFS and iSCSI.

Both are supported file system EXT 4 e Btrfs. Btrfs introduces advanced storage and snapshot technology to prevent data loss and reduce maintenance costs. It also offers flexible and efficient data protection and recovery tools.

The TerraMaster Application Center provides chundreds of free applications for backup, security, commerce, multimedia and development. Among those made available we find WordPress, MyWebSQL, Apache, Mail Server, CRM, Web Server, phpMyAdmin, MariaDB, Antivirus, Git, Go, Java, MyBB, Python and SVN.
