The first online exhibition of Pokémon Trading Card Game illustrations is coming

The Pokémon Company International announced the debut of the show online of illustrations of Pokémon Trading Card Game. The exhibition will be available from August 10, 2022 and will allow fans to admire the illustrations of the famous trading card game in a new way. Users will be able to log in for free to a digital gallery that retraces the beyond 26 years of publications. Let’s find out all the details together.

The first online exhibition of Pokémon Trading Card Game illustrations is coming

The special online exhibition Pokémon will be available in 10 languages and visitors will be able to scroll through the beautiful illustrations of a hundreds of Pokémon TCG cards in the foreground, divided into three sections:

• Habitat: section focused on the wide variety of environments where Pokémon live;
• History: section that traces the 26 years of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, from 1996 when the very first set was released in Japan, until today;
• Artists: section that houses illustrations by some specific Pokémon TCG designers, each with their own unique style.

The online exhibit of Pokémon Trading Card Game illustrations also includes the comments of 50 artistseach of which has chosen one of the cards he made for the Pokémon TCG and shared its memories and the creative process.

Also, the Japanese illustrator Wada He has made three card illustrations of the Pokémon TCG that will be unveiled for the first time in the famous exhibit. The first will be unveiled on 23 August; the second on September 7 and the third and last the September 22, 2022.

Wada, the famous illustrator, said:

“It feels like a lot of pressure to draw illustrations for a game of such fame, but it was an honor for me to have the opportunity to showcase the way of life and the world of Pokémon. I would be happy if my illustrations help to feel closer to the Pokémon. “
