During a chat with the trade press, the creative director Bryan Intihar explained how the game handles the shared stage. “By playing the main story, we control when to switch between Pete and Miles… in a way that benefits the story,” Intihar explained. “As you saw in the gameplay reveal, certain trades are predetermined based on the story. We have content designed for Peter, others tailor-made for Miles and others where one Spidey is as good as another. You can – in the open world – change as you like with a single button. Free change is great, being able to choose one hero or the other is great but it probably wasn’t possible before.” Each of the two will have their own personal skill tree, as we will have the opportunity to try by hand when the game comes out… in fallsince we don’t have more precise data yet.
