After being presented at the 75th edition of the Locarno Film Festival, Leon Prudovsky’s comedy, My neighbor Adolf, is released in Italian cinemas starting from November 3, with the distribution of I Wonder Pictures and with the collaboration of Unipol Biografilm Collection. On the occasion of the release of the film, two Italian clips of the film were also released, aimed at better presenting the main work to the cinema in the coming weeks.

My neighbor Adolf: plot and cast

We are in Colombia in 1960. The Signor Polsky, a lonely and grumpy man who survived the Holocaust, who lives in a remote and isolated house in the Colombian countryside, where he spends his days playing chess and tending the rose bushes in his garden. One day, however, a mysterious elder of German descent goes to live near the house of Mr. Polsky and the latter begins to suspect that the newcomer is none other than Adolf Hitler.

Clearly no one will believe his words and so the protagonist begins to investigate on his own to find evidence of his assumptions. To do this, however, he will have to get much closer than he wants to his neighbor, so much that a friendship may even arise between them.

In the cast de My Neighbor Adolf appear David Hayman (False Truth, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas) e Udo Kier (Nymphomaniac, The colors of the soul), which will give life to irresistible sketches, including chess games and glasses of vodka. Leon Prudovsky’s film investigates important themes, such as prejudice and the wounds of a painful past that cannot be forgotten, and does so by choosing the path of lightness and dramedy.
