Gamescom 2021 is coming to an end, but before the conclusion of the European conference dedicated to video games, today’s one, Friday 27 August. Before saying goodbye to Cologne for next year, however, we have a final evening ahead of us in which new titles will be announced in the coming months. We at Tech Princess will follow the conference live and update you in this article on all video games announced in real time.
Gamescom 2021: announcements of August 27th
The Medium versione PS5
The first announcement of the evening relates to the arrival of The Medium su PlayStation 5. We already knew that this peculiar horror title would arrive on Sony consoles, but on this occasion it showed itself in a new trailer that showed unreleased gameplay sequences and confirmed the arrival of the physical version of the game arriving on September 2nd.
Hypercharge Unboxed Campaign
We were then able to take a look at Hypercharge Unboxed Campaign, a nice action game that recalls in the atmosphere a mixture of Toy Story and Small Soldiers. In fact, in the game we will control toy troops that will compete in strategic battles with no holds barred.
Severed Steel
The next title to show was Severed Steel, a very particular shooter in which we will control a character with a strong skill in parkour and armed with a wide variety of guns. The game will arrive on September 17 on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Project Haven
Immediately after Severed Steel it was the turn of Project Haven, a strategic RPG with a cyberpunk setting, which opts for a mix of the classic progression of RPGs, with statistics, levels and other parametric aspects, with XCOM-style turn-based combat. The game will only be released on PC, via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Lake
After a short break it was the turn of Lake to show itself once again during our eyes. This time we had the opportunity to take a look at a rather extensive game sequence, which allowed us to get a slightly more precise idea of how this unique graphic adventure will develop its playful sector.
Commenting on the gameplay is the game director Dylan Nagel, who accompanied us for the duration of the trailer.
The Path of Calydra
This new action adventure showed up in a new gameplay trailer that showed various gameplay combat sequences. The title will take us to a world full of monsters and breathtaking settings, all in the mind of a child.

Lemnis Gate
One of the most anticipated announcements of this final evening was undoubtedly the one related to Lemnis Gate, a particular turn-based first-person shooter, whose 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 multiplayer games are structured in turns lasting just 25 seconds. On the occasion of Gamescom, developer Cory Kasperski showed us some gameplay sequences in preview that you can see in the following video.
The official opening of the servers is scheduled for September 28 su PC, PS4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X/S.
Spine
He found it, even if only for a short trailer Spine, a competitive multiplayer title that will lead users to fight in furious 3 vs 3 matches in a fascinating cyberpunk setting, complete with rain and neon lights. The official release date is unknown.
Rustler
Rustler was an announcement with surprises and without a doubt it is a rather peculiar video game. We are faced with a sandbox with a medieval setting with decidedly over the top characteristics. Sarcasm and sharp irony are the watchwords for this strange adventure, in which we will play a protagonist simply called Guy, since no one has bothered to name it.
Dying: 1983
Let’s go from parody games to hard and pure horror, with Dying: 1983, a puzzle game that will scare you to death with its disturbed atmospheres and grotesque creatures to say the least.
Outbreak Island
Outbreak Island is a survival game with investigative elements. In the title we will have to investigate the mysteries of an island and stay alive at any cost using a camera, handcrafted weapons and, of course, our own deductions.
