Facebook is trying to attract the young teenagers to itself, after the documents published by Wall Street Journal. Here are all the details.

According to new internal documents obtained from the Wall Street Journal, Facebook by Mark Zuckerberg recently formed a team for studying pre-teens. The goal is to create, in about three years, more products for the age group between 10 and 12 years.
This band, over the last year, has become one of the most courted e delicate of all. Also TikTok e YouTube, for example, they had to deal with legal problems to the way in which young people use the products of the two platforms.
The federal privacy law bans the collection of data on children under 13 and members of Congress have criticized technology companies for failing to protect children from malicious content available online. Documents show that the number of teenagers who use Facebook every day is decreased by about 19% in the last two years.
Experts also reported that teens and pre-teens now consider Facebook one dated platform and used only by old. Zuckerberg’s social network fears it will lose following due to other social platforms and what young people think of Facebook at the moment.
Efforts to expand its popularity among young people are also being watched by members of the Commerce Commission of the Senate, who wants to know how the social network intends to attract the youngest.
The senator Richard Blumenthal, who chairs the Commerce Commission’s Consumer Protection Committee, also said:
“My goal is, frankly, to expose the extraordinary dangers and damage Facebook causes to young people, especially girls,” she said in an interview. “I will ask Facebook why they have deliberately hidden these facts and what they intend to do to correct these practices.”
