New features are about to arrive on the Clubhouse App, and among these there is one that is particularly awaited – and requested – by users: the in-app registration. In fact, starting from October, users can record the conversation in a Room, save it in their profile or download it. The new function is called “Replays”And is only available in Public Rooms, where organizers and moderators can decide if and when to record what is said. So let’s find out how it works.
Clubhouse: App launches room registration
The Clubhouse App continues its evolution. It now introduces the ability to record the entire conversation of a Room, allowing users to create one as well shareable 30-second clip with the others. And this is not the only novelty. Apparently, the application is also introducing a new one search function which will allow users to find rooms, people, clubs and biographies simply by typing a word or name. Finally, spatial audio is expected to arrive soon on Android devices as well, after being released on iOS.
In short, lots of news for Clubhouse fans. But how does creating audio clips really work? Users can use “Replays” simply tapping the scissor icon, which will automatically acquire the last 30 seconds of the audio. At this point, the user can download the clip and then share it. An incredibly intelligent function, which the Clubhouse App has chosen to introduce to expand the visibility of its Rooms. By sharing clips, users will be enticed to connect to the application to listen to the entire audio. And that could mean acquiring new audiences, and competing with apps like Twitter or Spotify.
On the other hand, although functions such as Twitter Spaces or Greenroom took inspiration from the Clubhouse itself, in the end they managed to gain more loyalty among their audience. Now, however, the platform hopes to recover something by launching a series of functions designed specifically for users. Will it be enough? We will find out.
