A one-of-a-kind title is about to arrive that will delight fans of investigative video games. Is called Yurukill, and will come out in the spring of 2022 per PlayStation4, PlayStation 5 e Nintendo Switch.
The protagonist is Sengoku Shunju, accused of arson and the murder of 21 people. He is forced to prove his innocence and fight for his freedom. As one of the six Prisoners, he must pair up with one of five victims, referred to as the Executioner, within the confines of the strange and secluded amusement park known as Yurukill Land. Together, each of the five teams – Mass Murderers, Death Dealing Duo, Crafty Killers, Sly Stalkers and Peeping Toms – must face and overcome the so-called “attractions” of the entertainment venue to get what they want. If the Prisoners are successful, their crimes will be forgiven. But if the executioners win, there will only be revenge for their loved ones.
The plot is intriguing and mysterious, written by the acclaimed author Homura Kawamoto. It features investigative game sections focused on gathering and collecting evidence, testimony, and solving puzzles. The shoot-’em-up gameplay is intense and high-quality, offering a visual representation of the characters’ introspective insecurities. Players will also be able to try their hand at mode Score Attack. This allows users to replay levels and increase their rankings, as well as the ability to choose an executioner who maximizes their special skills.
