Google is about to inaugurate a new event dedicated to its series Pixel 6. The event Pixel Fall Launch kicks off at 7pm today and, ahead of the occasion, the company has announced a new partnership with the NBA to make Google Pixel the Official Fan Phone of NBA, NBA G League and NBA 2K League. According to Google, Pixel will be the first presenting partner of the NBA Playoffs and joins current YouTube TV “presenting sponsor” of the NBA Finals in the postseason.

As part of the new multi-year partnership with the NBA, Google will create “engaging and exciting experiences”For the fans. The company will combine trends, information, technology, devices and Google search services to ensure a deeper experience. The search engine will offer insights into trends before, during and after matches, with real-time data throughout the season.
Google will further exploit his 3D and AR technology, as well as other new features offered by the Pixel 6 series, to help fans feel closer to the action on the pitch. Whether it’s using a Pixel device to take photos, check scores and schedules, search for your favorite team or player’s jersey, fans will have an immersive experience. This will help them deepen and get closer to the culture, teams and players they love, the company explained.
Google has long sponsored the NBA, so it makes perfect sense, from a business point of view, that the two are now collaborating when it comes to Gooogle Pixel. Coincidentally, or maybe not, the Pixel 6 launch event will air a few hours before the start of the 2021-22 NBA season.
This means we could see a demo of these exciting immersive experiences that Google is promising along with the new phones this evening. Maybe even some Pixel 6 post-launch ads promoting AR experiences. The company finally said it will unveil exciting new Pixel camera features during a special that will take place later in the evening.
