The former President Donald Trump announced the upcoming launch of a new social network called Truth Social. The primary goal of the new social network is to “oppose the tyranny of Big Tech,” according to a press release allegedly coming from one of its companies.

The Trump Media and Technology Group, which made the announcement, said the social network will start with a limited beta launch in November. A larger rollout is expected in the first quarter of 2022. TMTG agreed to merge with Digital World Acquisition Group, a Nasdaq-listed Miami company, to form a new company chaired by Trump, according to the press release.
“I created Truth Social and TMGT to oppose Big Tech tyranny,” Trump said in a press release sent to the media. “We live in a world where the Taliban have free speech on Twitte but silence your favorite American president. […] I am excited to share my thoughts on Truth Social soon and to fight against Big Tech ”.
Trump’s use of Twitter has policy redefined, allowing it to bypass traditional media to try to take the political narrative in hand. However, Twitter banned Trump theJanuary 8, two days after a crowd of his supportersi stormed the Capitol of the United States in a dangerous uprising.
Twitter revealed that it had banned Trump “due to the risk of further incitement to violence”.
To march Jason miller, a senior adviser to Trump, told Fox News that the former president would be returning with one own social media platform. Trump and Twitter: an endless story
The former president sued to these platforms along with Twitter, advocating censorship and first amendment violations, even though the first amendment applies to the government, not private companies like social media sites. Despite the creation of a new social media platform, Trump has not abandoned Twitter.
Trump recently asked a US district judge to grant un a preliminary injunction that would restore his account while its lawsuit against Twitter makes its way through the courts.
