In fact, in these days, the platform is testing the possibility of add music to posts shared in the Feed. Yes, you read that right. Just like Stories and Reels, you will soon be able to add a soundtrack to your content as well. Let’s find out how.
Instagram: App tests the possibility of adding music to posts
At the precise moment you are reading these words, users from India, Brazil and Turkey are testing the new, and incredible, feature of the Instagram App. That is the possibility of adding music to the posts of the Feed by choosing a song from the “Trends” or “For you” proposals, or simply by searching for it through the appropriate search bar. Once selected, the title will appear in the post header. By clicking on it, users will be able to access a section where all the contents that have integrated that music will be collected.
Furthermore, once you have selected a song you can also select its duration, and then publish it directly on your profile. A similar operation to what we already know for Stories and Reels. But let’s see in more detail how this option works – at least for now – being tested on the Instagram App. So here’s how to add music to Feed posts:
- upload your photo and then select the item “Add music”
- look for your song preferred by using the appropriate search function or by exploring the “Trends” and “For you” sections
- select the song, the duration of your clip and the duration of the audio playback
- click on “Done” and publish your post.
