Frontier Developments today rolled out the new update for Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, making a number of performance improvements, fixes and additional features including the new Scorpio SRV. Elite Dangerous: Horizons players will also see the implementation of a Multi-Limpet controller, which will allow them more flexibility than previous standalone Limpet controllers.
Elite Dangerous Odyssey: here is the new update
Vodel’s new Scorpion SRV is built to take on Odyssey’s ground combat, allowing players to take on both ground and air threats, thanks to two pieces of stock weapons. For waves of infantry the ideal is the powerful repeater Surge laser, while for the protection of the skies we will have at our disposal the launcher localization missiles sting.
Capable of speeds in excess of 50mph, the Scorpion was designed as a two-seat infantry support vehicle capable of handling planetary conflicts of Odyssey, with a pilot and a machine gunner operating autonomously to take down the threats. Alternatively, a single occupant can drive and control weapons at the same time, confident that the aircraft’s reinforced shield and armor will block enemy offensives, except for the heaviest fire.
The ninth update will also introduce the controller Multi-Limpet for Odyssey and Horizons players, a new type of module that works in addition to existing controllers. Players can purchase the Scorpion SRV from military economy ports and the controller from most ship outfitting services, depending on the controller’s role.
We take this opportunity to remind you that Elite Dangerous: Odyssey is available for purchase on Steam, via the Epic Games Store or the Frontier Store. Elite Dangerous and Elite Dangerous: Horizons are also available on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Epic Games and the Frontier Store.
