Bitdefender’s new research on Log4j attacks
Bitdefender’s investigation of Log4j attacks highlights how more than 50% of the attacks are using TOR to hide the country of origin and make tracking more difficult. Furthermore, according to the data collected, Bitdefender honeypots were attacked 36,000 times in just one week, from December 9th to December 16th.
Furthermore, according to endpoint telemetry data, Germany (34%) and the United States (26%) are the main attack countries. The United States is also the main target of the attacks. In 48% of cases, in fact, the attacks are aimed precisely at US targets. The United Kingdom and Canada follow with a percentage of 8%.
