Get ready to make room in the house, the chair will come inside one bulky packaging to say the least, despite the specific weight of the product itself is in line if not lower than the average. On opening the package, however, I must admit that I was a bit confused. Taking into account the cost certainly not negligible of the chair (we will talk about it in detail later) I would have expected a presentation and a much more accurate endowment than what was proposed in front of me. In fact, in the last period we have had the opportunity to test different gaming chairs in the editorial office and in this case it was a regret to find ourselves in front of a presentation perfectly similar to what is seen in cheaper products, even close to the € 100 threshold.
The assembly, if you decide to work alone, can take place in about twenty minutes, the operations are simple and standard for this type of product. No particular simplification: Allen key and elbow grease. In aesthetic terms, in fact, especially in photos, it may seem that we are talking about one of the thousands of gaming chairs with the stencil available on the market. On balance this impression is however confirmed by a structure and texture of colors that are not particularly original, but live it manages to return a feeling of quality due to the excellent materials that cannot be seen from the photos.
Eco-leather and fabric, the combination of materials that I consider winning for a gaming chair that can be comfortable in all seasons. The interweaving of the fabric gives a strength to the material that seems to be able to withstand infinite uses over the years and the positioning of the eco-leather material gives an aesthetic plus to the chair, without being uncomfortable or in a position in which it could easily get ruined. Definitely appreciated the foam filling, soft and perfect in the general volumetric composition in terms of product size balance. Excellent metal structure as well as the quality of the wheels and piston.
Speaking of aesthetics, Nitro 550 embodies 100% the dictates of a gaming chair: bright colors, racing car seat shape, height-adjustable armrests, lumbar cushion and neck cushion. Very pretty there carbon-like finish on the back of the backrest. Attention to every detail of the finishes and the holes necessary for assembly, no defects to report.

We have analyzed all aspects, from aesthetics to assembly, but the truth is, Nitro 550 is comfortable. No creaking, stable and comfortable, without diverting attention from a scientifically correct posture. The foam filling gives a texture that I particularly liked, soft and stiff at the same time. Thanks to the reclining backrest and the soft-touch armrests, you can find the right combination of adjustments for your height. THE lumbar and cervical pillows they follow what has been said up to now for consistency and options with a view to a more comfortable seat. In short, a chair definitely promoted in its main function, which I will continue to use with pleasure in the next period.
It’s time to take stock
Genesis Nitro 550 is a gaming chair that, contrary to expectations, managed to amaze me. If it is true that the eye also wants its part, it is equally true that a chair and armchair must be able to guarantee a threshold of comfort suitable for the price range, and Genesis Nitro 550 succeeds fully.
Unfortunately, the biggest flaw of this chair lies precisely in the price, which places it in a range in which some rivals are able to guarantee original designs with the same comfort. About 270 € to buy Nitro 550 on the company’s official website, which may be less through some online stores, however too many for the product range. Really a shame because a more adequate selling price could push the company to have greater diffusion also in our country.
