Yours Pixel from today it has an extra gear.
The beta on Android it is certainly not a novelty but it exists as of today a new version dedicated solely to Pixels. Of course, the two variants are not the same. The first is the one that puts the latest version of the Google operating system in the hands of the developers, the second is dedicated to the release of those updates that bring with them a series of interesting news.
The new Android beta for the Pixel
Do you remember Android 12L? Until recently it was a beta, an experimental version of the Big G operating system. It has been a reality for a few days, ready to support leaflets and tablets with a new two-column layout, improved multitasking and a notification curtain divided between actual notifications and quick links.
All those who had participated in the testing phase of Android 12L will now join a new beta, called Quarterly Platform Releases (QPR), and will thus be able to experiment features coming in June.
To join the QPR Beta 1 they can be all owners of Pixel 4, 4a, 5, 5a, 6 and 6 Pro. To do this, simply go to the dedicated website, click View your eligible devices and register your Pixel.
We would like to point out instead that it will not be possible to subscribe the Pixel 3a and 3a XL to the program as they will shortly no longer support the beta versions, which is why they will be automatically updated to the “stable” version, ie the latest stable and official version of Android.
At this point we find ourselves with three different versions of the Google operating system: the stable one, the new beta QPR and finally the Developer Preview (which allows you to get your hands on Android 13).
