Tomorrow 15 March 2022 Xiaomi presents the Xiaomi 12 series to the whole world, which also uses the new MIUI 13 based on Android 12. Three of the smartphones in this series have already been presented in China at the end of 2021, but not everyone will arrive in Italy. And some rumors suggest that there may be some new model designed specifically for the European market.

Xiaomi 12 Pro, the new top of the range with MIUI 13
Another model that we will almost certainly see is Xiaomi 12 Pro, the top of the range version among those announced in China. The device will be as capable as Xiaomi 12, with the same processor, RAM and even the same battery and charging system.
But the screen should be from 6.73 inch AMOLED, with 2K resolution and 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. Also, the camera wants to beat any comparison: triple 50MP sensor for main, wide angle and telephoto. With the main one being the new and exciting Sony IMX707. A smartphone that wants to apply for the best “camera-phone” of the year. The base price of around 651 euros should rise with the arrival in Europe, probably come on 1,000 to 1,200 euros.

Will the ‘X’ model arrive in Italy?

In China, Xiaomi also announced the model Xiaomi 12X, a slightly weakened version of the base model. In fact we find the same stellar screen of Xiaomi 12, the decidedly good photographic department and the battery with fast charging from a true top of the range.
But in this model the processor is one Snapdragon 870 5G, instead of Qualcomm’s latest mobile processor. Also, RAM only comes in the from option 8GB. This smartphone does not necessarily arrive in Italy, but the possibility is there. In that case, the price should be between 600 and 700 euros.

Xiaomi 12 Lite and Xiaomi 12 Ultra: new models on the way?

Some rumors in the last few hours suggest that Xiaomi wants to launch new models of the Xiaomi 12 series, perhaps taking advantage of the global launch of the series. The first could be Xiaomi 12 Litewhich would come with a chip Snapdragon 7 series, therefore mid-range. It would be a device with a 6.55-inch screen and 120Hz refresh rate, with a 64MP rear camera.
But some other source reports the possibility of seeing one Xiaomi 12 Pro Ultra. A device that would use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chip, for even more incredible performance while gaming and making the most of the CPU. This smartphone looks like it may have a display 120Hz QHD + AMOLED, with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of memory.
Someone online is also reporting that the device may have a circular camera with four sensors (also periscope) developed in partnership with Leica. Also, it might have the fast charging at 150Wto crowd out the competition.
