TIM is having problems all over Italy: i online services are down across the country, especially home connections. This has led many users to report problems with other services, such as those of video calling and gaming, which however could be related to telephone operator problems.
TIM down throughout Italy: what happens?
Today 22 March the reports on the page of Downdetector they shot up. The reports concern all the services of the telecommunications operator: fixed and mobile internet, e-mail service. But most of the reports (84%) concern the home connection.
Most of the reports come from large cities: Rome, Milan and Naples in the lead. But also Florence, Turin, Bologna, Cagliari, Bari and Padua. In short, it seems that in tall over the country there are connection problems related to the TIM line.
The peak of reporting begins around 11, and then remain very high until the writing of this article. Neither the TIM website nor the social channels report updates on the service status of the connection, so at the moment it is difficult to understand when the problem can be solved.
Many other services also report on Downdector signal peaks: from gaming to smart home, passing through video calls. But it seems that the problem is related to the connection and not to the services, which are reachable through the other operators.
Thousands of reports that suggest a software problem related to the entire line, rather than a problem on individual repeaters or sections of the line. This type of problem can be caused by software update problems, however, at the moment, problems related to cybersecurity cannot be ruled out.
We will update this article in the hope that it will soon be possible for everyone to connect to the internet without problems.
UPDATE: At 2.40 pm the situation seems to be in the process of returning, with reports decreasing for TIM.
