According to reports from Windows Central, Xbox Game Pass would be working on a family plan. Here’s what we know.
Xbox Game Pass ready to launch a subscription for families?
News may be coming soon for subscribers to Game Pass, the Microsoft subscription that gives access to a vast catalog of video games, both in the cloud and in download. At the moment the service provides for individual subscriptions, which could change shortly. Windows Central reports that the company would be evaluating the introduction of a family planwhich should be released by the end of 2022. This would be a subscription at a higher cost, which however would allow access to the catalog for up to 5 users, with substantial savings compared to the sum of the individual subscriptions.
Prices are not known at the moment, but they are likely to include – as is the case with individual subscriptions – different tiers, such as Ultimate, Standard and PC. If this were confirmed, we would see a system that has already made the fortune of other services such as Nintendo, Netflix and Disney +.
This indiscretion comes a few days after the announcement of PlayStation to renew its PlayStation Plus catalog, making it very similar to what Microsoft offers.
