One of the strategies to make it easier Elden Ring is to use an arcane dexterity build with the Katana Rivers of Blood. So let’s try to understand how to set a build of this type starting from the statistics, up to the best amulets to use to maximize the damage of our bloodsword.
Elden Ring: how to best use Rivers of Blood
First of all it is good to take stock of the statistics and in this sense we recommend opting for 50 dexterity and 50 arcane, in order to make the most of the scaling of the katana in question. This way you should have good attack power and also enough play to put some points into defensive stats such as stamina.
As for the setup of talismans we have some very interesting choices. Before anything else, it is good to enter Plague seal of Radagonwhich increases Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, and Temper by 5, at the cost of a self-canceling damage penalty.
Since we will be making intensive use of weapon art then we have the Fragment of Alexander, which increases the power of the latter. The third talisman is the Jubilation of the Blood Lord, a very unique talisman that increases the player’s attack power by 20% for a short period of time after bleeding, something to be taken seriously as we will inflict this status very often.
The best thing is that there is also the White Mask, which does exactly the same thing as this amulet, and increases attack by an additional 10% after causing blood loss. These two effects add up to each other, so if we wear them together we can count on an extra 30% of extra damage every time we inflict this status.
The last talisman is at your discretion, but the best choices in my opinion are Cariano filigree coat of armswhich decreases the mana cost of weapon abilities, l‘Putrid Winged Sword Emblem which increases the attack as long as we continue to attack relentlessly and the Millicent prosthesis, which increases dexterity by 5 points and guarantees the same effect as the previous amulet.
How to get the Rivers of Blood
But at this point I would say to move on to the weapon itself, which is the real protagonist of this video. To get it you will have to defeat an invading npc at Church of the Rest, at the Peaks of the Giants; be careful to get invaded before defeating the zone boss though, as many have reported that they cannot be invaded after killing.
In terms of performance we are faced with a Katana with fast attacks and which focuses on inflicting bleeding in the shortest possible time. To do this we have a real one at our disposal combo of slashes usable through its special ability.
And there’s really not much more to say about this weapon, other than that it’s really that strong and that builds based on it are currently among the most powerful of all Elden Ring. As if that weren’t enough then it also does great fire damage, so if you are facing something susceptible to this element you will get even more devastating results.
